Using the App
How do I log water?
On the home screen, tap any quick-add option (150, 250, 330, 500 ml). Your log is saved instantly and the progress ring updates right away. For a different amount or drink type, tap "Custom".
What are drink types for?
Some drinks (like coffee or tea) hydrate differently than plain water. Each drink type has a hydration factor (for example, coffee: 0.80). The amount counted toward your daily goal is calculated using this factor, so your hydration data stays realistic.
How do streaks work?
Your streak starts when you hit your daily target. If you also hit the goal the next day, the streak continues. If you miss a day, it resets. Your all-time best streak is always kept.
How do I set reminders?
Go to Settings > Reminders and tap the plus (+) button to add reminder times. The free plan supports up to 3 reminders. Pro unlocks unlimited reminders and quiet hours.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored locally on your device. It is not sent to our servers, and no account is required. If you uninstall the app, local data is removed as well, so we recommend backing up important information when possible.
Pro Subscription
How does the free trial work?
When you tap "Start 14-Day Free Trial" on the paywall, your trial begins immediately. You are not charged during the trial period. If you cancel before it ends, no payment is taken.
How can I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Hydra Pro > Cancel.
Android: Google Play > Subscriptions > Hydra Pro > Cancel.
After cancellation, Pro features remain available until the current billing period ends. Your logged data is never deleted because of cancellation.
How do I restore purchases?
In Settings, tap "Restore Purchases". Your store account is re-checked and Pro access is restored if there is an active subscription.
Troubleshooting
The app does not open or freezes
First, force close and reopen the app. If it continues, restart your device and install any available app updates. If the issue remains, contact us and we will help you troubleshoot.
Reminders are not arriving
Check notification permissions on your device: Settings > Notifications > Hydra. On Android 12+, also confirm that exact alarms are allowed.
I accidentally deleted my logs
Sorry about that. Deleted logs cannot be recovered later. Right after deletion, you can tap "Undo" at the bottom of the screen to restore the entry.
